Marrus Stud - Breeding Colour and Excellence

Marrus Stud is a small newly founded coloured stud and is owned by Russell Skelton who has always had a very strong passsion for coloured horses. He has years of experience with horses in various disciplines but last year was a first and very succesful one for the show ring. Forming this stud is a dream come true and would not be possible without the assistance of partner Mark Courty.

The stud is based in Fyvie which is in the heart of Aberdeenshire in the North East of Scotland.

As a newly founded stud I am gradually building my stock and my aim in the future is to have quality coloured animals that have been selected for their confirmation correctness,movement & athleticism & temperament whilst maintaining some fantastic proven bloodlines from Europe.

The stud has the up and coming stallion Copilot who last year as a yearling in the show ring was one of the most succesful coloured yearlings in the country (See results page).

It is the studs ambition to breed high quality performance horses with the added bonus of colour and as the results show to date our horses are prolific winners at shows throughtout the country, turning heads wherever they go.
