4th October 2009

Paul Rawling visited the stud to see Freckleton Maarifa and purchased her so she will be off to her new home later in the week.  Paul is aiming to show the filly as a youngster before she has a dressage and Showjumping career.  We wish Paul all the best in the future with Maarifa.

2nd October 2009

The stud has purchased two coloured warmblood foals from Holland and look forward to getting them in Novemeber once they have been weaned.  The plan will be to produce and show them for the 2010 season.

21st September 2009

Freckleton Midori went to her new home.  Friends John Karwl-Jackes and Phillip Christie fell in love with the filly when they first seen her and are planning to show her in Hunter Youngstock Classes in 2010.  We wish them every success with her in the future.

19th September 2009

The stud purchased two new foals to produce for the 2010 show season.  Blackhall Charlie is a 5 month old traditional colt of unknown breeding and Summerhouse Mara is a 4 month old native type filly out of a registered Fell pony mare. 

7th September 2009

The stud is delighted with their three new arrivals from Freckleton Stud, all fillies by the stallion Monte Carlo.  We will decide over the coming weeks what ww will be planning for the fillies.

All four Mares at the stud have now been succesfully scanned in foal.  Lady D'or went to Easttifty Stud in Fyvie and was covered by the BSPA graded stallion 'Pferde Salvador of Tifty' who is a son of the Chaps graded stallion 'Allbany'. Paradiese D, Moreman Cuba Libra & Shakira were covered by our own colt 'Copilot'.  This will be Copilots only mares this season so it will be very exciting to see what he produces.

The 2009 showing season is now well under way for Marrus Stud.  We have  currently had 3 very successful outings with some fantastic results and Championships.  Copilot has now been turned away for the summer to be allowed to mature naturally at grass.  Solaris Dwenqua will continue to have a limited number of outings throughout the coming season.  We are also very excited about two new additions to the stud.  The first being a 6 year old coloured Show Hunter pony which will be shown In Hand this season by Mark and a 10 year old Sports pony mare which will hopefully be going to the Stallion in the near future along with our two other mares Lady D' Or and Paradiese D.

The stud would also like to congratulate Mark Meldrum & Jenna Saunders on their recent success at the BSPA Winter Champs at Keysoe with Park Daisy May who they purchased from the stud earlier in the year.  They took several top placings including Youngstock Evaluations Champion, gaining a 'Red preffered' with a fantastic score of 85%.  We wish them continued success for the season ahead with Park Daisy May and hope that Parkdene Music Man, who they have recently purchased from us also gives them the same success.
